After creating a new task, keep the focus on it in the list
When tasks are numerous, finding a newly created task can be difficult. The focus should be on the new task.

Copy tasks as simple text to the clipboard
It would be really nice to copy tasks names from the "Tasks" list using Ctrl+C as simple text, so it would be possible to insert it somewhere else, in the editor for example.

Daily Time Totals
I would like to be able to track effort for a task on a daily basis along with the total time spent.
The daily time would obviously be recorded in the Total Time, but would reset at the end of the of day or when I mark a daily task complete.A seperate column header for "Time Spent Today" would be great.
I would also like to see a running total for all effort for all tasks for the day, possibly in the status bar.
This would allow me to quickly see how much of my time was being tracked…5 votes -
Set working hours and days for a task or a project
This feature would be an "extension" to the idea of not counting weekends.
I use Task coach in my job, so my point of view is "job-related"
I'd like to have an option in the preferences where one could:
- select the typical working hours in a day (for example 8-12; 13-17)
- select the working days in a week
- exclude some particular days (like national festivities)
This should apply to the time spent in the efforts. I mean, for example:
for some reasons I have to create an effort that lasted the entire week, I spent 40 hours…5 votes -

Taskcoach could use the notion of Milestones
Just an entry which shows "original", "current", and completed dates. This is really a special class of a task which has no duration.
The timeline view should also have support for viewing these milestones

Use Calendar for Daily plan
It would be nice, to have the possibility to make a day plan with the calendar. (its almost there) Therefore, you need to set the time frame and things like Lunch break a.s.o.. The timeline then should not be horizontal, but vertical.

Change a hierarchy of task globally keeping the relative sequence
I have a hierarchy of tasks for each sub project I'm working on. Depending on external consideration, I may have to switch a whole sub-project a few week or a few month forward or backward.
Would be nice to be able to change the whole hierarchy without having to redefine at each level what is the sequence. Some task are overlapping, so task dependency won't make it.
In fact, having a relative date in sub-task would maybe come close to what I need. (Sub-task x start 3 weeks after start of parent task)5 votes -
option to remove completed tasks automatically after a time period
I would like to get my completed tasks removed from my list some days after they are completed (configurable period). This way after x days completed tasks are removed.

Filter tasks up to a certain level
It can be useful to suppress detailed tasks in an overview chart. Therefore, (sub)tasks should be filter-able up to a certain level.
In addition, there should be a slider in the task window that allows you to collapse/uncollapse all tasks up to a certain level.

Create a "Mark previous task completed AND Start tracking effort" button
When I use the "Mark previous task completed" button, it is always directly followed by my clicking on the "Start tracking effort" on my next task OR "New subitem" followed by "Start tracking effort".
As I very often use those two combined actions, a dedicated button (and shortcut command) would be a huge gain of productivity for me.
Thanks for your consideration !

I would like to have a font small in the lines of the Calendar. Thanks
I would like to have a small font in the lines of the Calendar. Thanks

Attachment viewer
Add new view (window) with attachments of selected task. By double click on attachment in this view - open attachment.
I think this feature easy to add and useful4 votesAdminAaron Wolf (Admin, Task Coach) respondedI’m going to leave this open for now, but this is basically the same type of thing as these requests:
http://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/293262-task-notes-paneOnce those things (which are very popular), the implementation will probably already make this request here possible, but we’ll have to see
Note, there’s also this, which I think is better:

I'd love to see widget like bottons that can float onthe desktop at all times so that with one click
I'd love to see widget like buttons that can float on the desktop at all times so that with one click I can start/stop tracking effort.
this would help when I am doing many different jobs at once and changing from task to task often.
Perhaps the ability to create unique widgets depending on the tasks I am working on at any given time4 votes -
Unselecting all categories at once
When a amount of categories will grow up the listing will become quite long. When I have selected categories here and there it could be nice to remove the checkbox selection at once to view all tasks without scrolling and unselecting them manually.
