Unification of customization of toolbars for the same "type" of processed information
There currently several "notes" toolbars, "attachment" toolbars, etc..
Every of those toolbars could be customized, none could be set to the customization already done, e.g. in a view toolbar.Why not unificating this customization by ...
1. Making all toolbars for the same type of information identical

What's about adding a button in the toolbar customization behind the current selected?
I want to add a button to a toolbar in the customization dialog, I have to add it and to reposition it.
Why not adding right behind/below the current selected button?

Allow double click in toolbar customization to add or to remove a new button
If I want to add a button to a toolbar, I currently have to select it, move the mouse to the "add" button, and then I have to reposition it.
Why not simply allowing to double click onto the button to add it?

"Create effort together with new task" in context menu of categories
Availabe already in the context menu of categories are:
"New task with selected categories" and
"New note with selected categories"I would like to see:
"New effort/task with selected categories"
which should create a task and an effort. Task should be open for editing whilst effort runs in the background.Tks

Add a feature to email that days/week/month/etc effort according to a configurable template.
As in the subject.

End dates always after start dates
It would be nice to disable the ability to set an end date before a start date. When I set a start date, for example next week, and an end date then the default end date is today+1.

Solar Hijri calendar

I'm an Iranian, and many people in my country and Afghanistan and other countries (especially in Middle Asia) have used the solar Hijri calendar. Hijri calendar is now at the end of 1392,and the week begins on Saturday. If you add these features to the software, I will thank you

Add warning when reaching daily maximum work time
In Germany, we have laws and tariff contracts that define a daily maximum work time (usually 10 hours), everything beyond that limit is illegal. Currently, I do work and hope to look at the daily sum of all efforts before reaching the daily limit. Much better would be a warning by Task Coach that I'm coming near the limit (e.g. 30min before) and that the limit is reached.
What is needed?
1) one configuration option to define daily limit (e.g. 10 hours) and one how long before reaching the limit a notification/warning shall be issued (e.g. 30min)

Week number
I couldn' find the way to display the week number in any TaskCoach views. This would be helpful in production environments where several partners have the habit to talk like "delivery in week numer 22" (meaning between 30th of may and 3rd of june 2011).
For the moment, I created one task per week in a special category. The name of the task is the number of the week : W12, W13, W14, etc.

Refactor HTML export
Would be useful to have a new field in the HTML exported report: the file name.
We are using weekly reports, so an exported report of tasks would be "Report[username]week33". This way, would be easier to check the file name if this field will be visible in the file.3 votes -
auto exchange data
I would like to see an automated way to exchange the calendar data. My problem is to connect the data from the taskcoach calendar with my other calendars.
I think a similar function like the orage calendar in XCFE. You choose one oder several iCal files, which are shown up in the calendar. This entry's are not imported to the internal database and cannot modified, just displayed.
Since there are a lot of wrappers out, for google calendar or caldav or so, this could help all people to have some kind of integration. Just set up a script with cronjob…10 votes -
Disable editing of planned start and end dates of task/s to ensure that it cannot be manipulated by the users
It will ensure an honest comparison between planned and actual dates of the tasks.

multiclient/multi-user collaborative version (perhaps over network) with ability to delegate/assign tasks
I think that a network multiclient version would be very nice.
Users should be able to see their own tasks alongside tasks that are shared among the group.
A project manager could include a task for his team, assign to an employee and receive updates over the network.
It would be great too the possibility to generate daily, weekly and monthly reports per project sort by team members.

sub-tasks automatically inherit parent prerequisites when created or moved
it'd be nice to have new sub-tasks inherit their parent task's prerequisites. it gets tedious adding prereqs when the tree isn't already expanded in the prerequisite choosing screen.

Doesn't create 'lock' temporally folder in file system for Desktop version
I save my todo-file in Google Disk Drive. When I work with my todo.tsk file TaskCoach creates temporally 'lock' directory, whenI close my todo.tsk Google application shows dialog-window "Move to thrash". And this dialog repeatedly appears. This is irritate me!
6 votesWe will be removing the lock file once v. 1.4 is out as that will support multiple computers accessing the same file at once.
