Add an option to automatically reduce the priority of completed tasks
I use Task Coach to keep track of my various activities during the day and use this to report to my supervisor / manager / superiors / etc. Because of this, I have to keep the completed tasks in my list for a decent amount of time. However, having to go in and manually change the priority so the completed tasks are not intermingled with non completed tasks has become a considerable annoyance and I would hope that in a not to distant update for Task Coach that you add in the option of setting completed tasks to a defined…

Auto-save when exiting
With version 1.4.0 the "auto save after every change" setting was causing unacceptable delays, so I turned it off. But sure enough, I forget to save manually. Please add a user-selectable setting to auto-save on exit from the program, or just ask me when I quit, "Do you want to save changes?"

Hello,
I am able to do clothes no English and, therefore, write with a translation programme. Has discovered that there is task coach also for Android.
If it has installed, however, the programme synronisieren does not know like one would be able.
It would be great if this was feasible like with a German programme (Lexware) simply about IP address. Then one would have at hand on the one hand the data always topically no matter whether in the office or on the way.
Further the ext. version would be helpful in in German as well as operating instructions1 vote -
Clear Prerequisites button and filter Prerequisites tasks
When working with a deep tree structured list, it's hard to see the task prequisites or 'un-prerequisite' tasks.
In the prerequisite view, it would be nice to have a button to clear all dependencies and a filter to show only the tasks that the current task depends on.

Show the specific prerequisite in the 'Prerequisites' column rather than the highest-level task
When a task (toptask) has several subtasks (sub1, sub2, etc.), and the subtasks must be executed in a specific order (e.g., sub1, then sub2, etc.), prerequisites can be set on the subtasks. However, the 'Prerequisites' column only shows the name of the highest-level parent task (toptask) rather than the name of the prerequisite subtasks (e.g. prerequisite sub1 for sub2).

keyboard shortcut to show/hide inactive tasks.
I often switch the inactive filter on/off, to limit the view to see only active tasks.
It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for it. It's ok if it's a complex shortcut, I can always use autohotkey/autokey to remap some other key to that combo, just so long as there is some way of activating it via keyboard.3 votes -
Add opportunity to look effort per all the time
Now we have only opportunity to look effort details, effort per day, effort per week and effort per month. But sometimes projects take longer than month. Or we can begin work with project on 31 and month ended very soon.
It would be helpful to have opportunity to look effort per all the time or show row "total" in effort details too.1 vote -
Tasks Timeline / Calendar
A new view of a timeline/calendar with all tasks which have a begin/finish date set on it.
It would be very useful for vieweing a resume of all tasks.

make server side task coach, instead of just standalone software
B/S structured, so we can setup service for our team to use it. The solution of task coach file on cloud disk is not stable.

Add time elapsed, remaining to deadline and other times in the window behind each task
The main reason for the program is to keep track of time, and it floors me that there are no time indicators anywhere! Here are a few that should be clearly visible:
Elapsed times
remaining time to deadline
time until start
and more. How else is one to catch themselves slacking off?

Extend the tool tip for the "Undo" and "Redo" buttons
As a sloppy user, I sometimes hit a key I don't intend. Task Coach flashes and I wonder "What did I do? Did I delete something, or did the screen just refresh? Will undo fix an error, or get rid of my last intentional operation".
When I then try undo, it isn't always obvious what was undone. The change might be to something not displayed. I often hit undo several times until I can identify the operation performed, and then performe redo several times to get to a good state.

Indicator in Ubuntu
I want to see Task Coach indicator in Ubuntu indicator's panel. I think it will increase the usability of the program.

Include new field 'date of issue'
It would be interesting to include a new field to record the 'date of issue/problem', as it does not coincide with the date when the corresponding record is created.

Plugin-based design / scripts / scriptable options for the program
If the program will support plugins, even in the most basic form, then it will give the opportunity for other developers to add stuff to the program without actually changing the main code, which could be a barrier.

Allow a different priority scheme based on heirarchy
Allow a scheme, when a sub task is given a priority, it will receive the priority of the parent task combined with the new priority.
Example:
A priority of task A is 7.
B is a sub task of A with a priority of 2.
The priority of B according to the new scheme will be considered as 7.2 for sorting purposes.
If C is a sub task of B with a priority of 5, then it is considered as 7.2.5, and so on.1 vote -
Add tool-tips for the "this month" button in the date picker
The "next month" and "this month" arrows in the data picker are common, but the "this month" button is less common. I didn't realize that button had a purpose until it was pointed out to me.
Adding tool tips to those widgets in the date picker would make the "current month" feature more discoverable.

2 buttons on the task toolbar: Set start date of selected task to tomorrow, next week.
I often want to followup on tasks that are waiting on others.
E.g I submit a fix, and await review from community. But often I want to followup on folks to make sure there is progress.
For this I currently edit the task and change the start date.It would be nice to have buttons (and keyboard shortcuts? ) to quickly move the start date to tomorrow/next week. (maybe a 3rd option : move to ... and pop-up calendar would show up?)
If there already is a quick way for doing this without having to go through the task details,…
